This 5 marks question based on Water Pollution was asked by ICSE board in the year 2019 in compulsory SECTION-I.

(i) Water pollution

(ii)  One pollutant that causes water pollution is discharge of toxic industrial wastes into the water bodies like rivers, seas, etc.

(iii) Water pollution can lead to several diseases like typhoid, cholera and typhoid.

(iv) One measure to control water pollution is treatment of industrial effluent before discharging them into water bodies.

(v) Any substance that deteriorates the natural quality of environment when added in the air, water or land is called a Pollutant. Pollutant is the substance that causes pollution.
